Sizes will vary; these tend to be 7-8mm.  
 
A 16-inch string of genuine cultured fresh water pearls, many with non-spherical, oblong or flat-sided shapes. Many have rings caused by the pearl rotating as it was formed. Known as potato or ring pearls, these are best suited for crafting and jewelry featuring the best face of each pearl. They are holed for stringing and despite the rustic shapes many still retain that unique pearl glow.​
