It's time for a spring time project! Here is a sweet little turtle that's absolutely adorable to make! Don't you think?
The knitting pattern is by Barbara Prime and can be purchased for under $3 at her Ravelry store. It stands about 8 inches tall and requires about 160-200 yards of worsted yarn.
Rainy Day Turtle requires 2 10.5mm solid black safety eyes to make. Barbara describes the skills needed on her site:
"The pattern is advanced-beginner to intermediate level. You will need to know how to work stockinette, ribbing and garter stitch, increase (m1), decrease (k2tog, ssk, and s2kp), yarn over, cast-on stitches at the end of a row, pick up stitches, sew seams, and work short rows made with decreases. There are many fun techniques in this pattern, so it could be a good chance to learn or practice new skills."
